Growing up as an indigene of a host Community of the Oloibiri Oil Field and the First Oil Well in West Africa in Otuabagi Community in the then Oloibiri District of Rivers State, now Otuabagi Community in Ogbia LGA of Bayelsa State; I had earlier witnessed the use of crude oil in place of Kerosene in Stoves and Lamps for Cooking and Lighting in the early 90s by villagers inhabiting the Oil-Rich Clan (Ogbia) because of the high poverty rate, and inadequacy, unavailability and inaccessibility of human physiological needs to the villagers. This occurred after the Oil wells and Community(ies) were abandoned in "forest" and "darkness" which created an easy access of the crude oil to the villagers for domestic use and using the raw crude oil worked perfectly. The only difference was the high carbonated sooth it produces from the incomplete combustion because it is a raw unrefined crude.

Niger Delta Youths Voices Out: Wrote an Open Letter to President Muhammadu Buhari

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI ON A CALL FOR FULL REPRESENTATION OF NIGER DELTA (NONVIOLENT) YOUTHS IN ALL DIALOGUES AIMED AT THE DRASTIC DEVELOPMENT OF NIGER DELTA AND IMPROVING PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE AND WELLBEING OF IT'S PEOPLE.

THE KAIAMA DECLARATION: NIGER DELTA PROCEEDS

THE KAIAMA DECLARATION – REGAINING CONTROL OF OUR
DESTINY
RESOLUTION OF ALL IJAW YOUTHS CONFERENCE HELD IN KAIAMA, BAYELSA STATE, NIGERIA, DECEMBER 11, 1998.

INTRODUCTION
Over 5000 Ijaw Youths drawn from over 500 communities of about
40 clans that make up the Ijaw nation, met in Kaiama to deliberate on ways of finding solutions to the problems associated with our present enslavement in the fraudulent contraption called NIGERIA.

Present at the meeting were several Ijaw movements for justice, including the Ijaw Council for Human Rights (ICHR), the Movement for the Survival of the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND), the Movement for Reparation to Ogbia (MORETO), Elimotu Movement, Meinbutu, the Ijaw Justice Association, Arogbo Freedom Fighters, Ogbe-Ijoh Justice Front, Ijaw National Congress in the United States (INCUSA), Supreme Egbesu Assembly and the Ijaw Peace Movement. Others were the Okpolom Imo Engenni, the Nembe 1895 Movement, Izon Dou Ogbo, Ijaw National Youth Movement and the National Union of Bayelsa State Students, etc, etc.

Solidarity messages were received from several groups within and outside the Niger Delta, including the Pan-Niger Delta Resistance Movement CHIKOKO, the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), the Peoples’ Democratic Liberation Party (PDLP), the Niger Delta Human and Environmental Rescue Organisation (ND-HERO), the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), Rivers State Branch, the United Action for Democracy (UAD), and the Bayelsa Youths’ Forum among others.

The meeting started with prayers by representatives of two religions – Ijaw traditional religion and Christianity.
This was followed by brief speeches by two members of the organizing committee of the conference Messrs Felix Tuodolo and T. K. Ogoriba.
Subsequently, representatives of the various organizations were called upon to make contributions and brief participants of what they have been doing in their groups towards liberating the Ijaw from slavery, impoverishment and marginalization.

This was followed by solidarity messages from several movements in the Niger Delta and beyond. Representatives of the over 500 communities and the participants were then divided into four working groups, namely: RESOURCE CONTROL, INTER AND INTRA-ETHNIC CONFLICTS, EDUCATION & CULTURE and SELF-DETERMINATION & FEDERALISM.
Each of the working groups elected a chairperson and a secretary who was then empowered to report to the plenary. It is the result of the various reports that were collated and read out at the plenary session for debate and amendments. And conference delegates and participants agreed that the resolutions taken at the conference be proclaimed as the "KAIAMA DECLARATION".

"THE KAIAMA DECLARATION"l
We, Ijaw Youths drawn from over 500 communities from over 40 clans that make up the Ijaw nation and representing 25 representative organizations met today, in Kaiama to deliberate on the best way to ensure the continuous survival of the indigenous peoples of the Ijaw ethnic nationality of the Niger Delta within the Nigerian state.

After exhaustive deliberations, the Conference observed:
(1) That it was through British colonization that the IJAW NATION was forcibly put under the Nigerian state.
(2) That but for the economic interests of the imperialists, the Ijaw ethnic nationality would have evolved as a distinct and separate sovereign nation, enjoying undiluted political, economic, social and cultural autonomy.
(3) That the division of the Southern Protectorate into East and West in 1939 by the British marked the beginning of the balkanization of a hitherto territorially contiguous and culturally homogeneous Ijaw people into political and administrative units, much to our disadvantage. This trend is continuing in the balkanization of the Ijaws into six states – Ondo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa Ibom States, mostly as minorities who
suffer socio-political, economic, cultural and psychological deprivations.
(4) That the quality of life of Ijaw people is deteriorating as a result of utter neglect, suppression and marginalization visited on Ijaws by the alliance of the Nigerian state and transnational oil companies.
(5) That the political crisis in Nigeria is mainly about the struggle for the control of oil mineral resources which account for over 80% ofGDP, 95% of national budget and 90% of foreign exchange earnings. From which, 65%, 75% and 70% respectively are derived from within the Ijaw nation. Despite these huge contributions, our reward from the Nigerian state remains avoidable deaths resulting from ecological devastation and military repression.
(6) That the unabating damage done to our fragile natural environment and to the health of our people is due in the main to uncontrolled exploration and exploitation of crude oil and natural gas which has led to numerous oil spillages, uncontrolled gas flaring, the opening up of our forests to loggers, indiscriminate canalization, flooding, land subsidence, coastal erosion, earth tremors etc. Oil and gas are exhaustible resources and the complete lack of concern for ecological rehabilitation, in the light of the Oloibiri experience, is a signal of impending doom for the peoples of Ijawland.
(7) That the degradation of the environment of Ijawland by transnational oil companies and the Nigerian state arise mainly because Ijaw people have been robbed of their natural rights to ownership and control of their land and resources through the instrumentality of undemocratic Nigerian state legislations such as the Land Use Decree of 1978, the Petroleum Decrees of 1969 and 1991, the Lands (Title Vesting etc) Decree No. 52 of 1993 (Osborne Land Decree), the National Inland Waterways Authority Decree No. 13 of 1997, etc.
(8) That the principle of Derivation in Revenue Allocation has been consciously and systematically obliterated by successive regimes of the Nigerian state. We note the drastic reduction of the Derivation principle from 100% (1953), 50% (1960), 45% (1970), 20% (1975) 2%. (1982), 1.5% (1984) to 3% (1992 to date), and a rumoured 13% in Abacha’s 1995 undemocratic and unimplemented constitution.
(9) That the violence in Ijawland and other parts of the Niger Delta area, sometimes manifesting in intra and inter-ethnic conflicts are sponsored by the State and transnational oil companies to keep the communities of the Niger Delta area divided, weak and distracted from the causes of their problems.
(10) That the recent revelations of the looting of national treasury by the Abacha junta is only a reflection of an existing and continuing trend of stealing by public office holders in the Nigerian state. We remember the over 12 billion dollars Gulf windfall, which was looted by Babangida and his cohorts. We note that over 70% of the billions of dollars being looted by military rulers and their civilian collaborators is derived from our ecologically devastated Ijawland.

Based on the foregoing, we, the Youths of Ijawland hereby make the following resolutions to be known as the KAIAMA DECLARATION.

1. All land and natural resources (including mineral resources) within the Ijaw territory belong to Ijaw communities and are the basis of our survival.
2. We cease to recognize all undemocratic decrees that rob our peoples/communities of the right to ownership and control of our lives and resources, which were enacted without our participation and consent. These include the Land Use Decree and the Petroleum Decree etc.
3. We demand the immediate withdrawal from Ijawland of all military forces of occupation and repression by the Nigerian state. Any oil company that employs the services of the armed forces of the Nigerian state to “protect” its operations will be viewed as an enemy of the Ijaw people. Family members of the military personnel stationed in Ijawland should appeal to their people to leave the Ijaw area alone.
4. Ijaw youths in all the communities in all Ijaw clans in the Niger Delta will take steps to implement these resolutions beginning from the 30th December, 1998, as a step towards reclaiming the control of our lives. We, therefore, demand that all oil companies stop all. exploration and exploitation activities in the Ijaw area. We are tired of gas flaring, oil spillages, blowouts and being labeled as saboteurs and terrorists. It is a case of preparing the noose for our hanging. We reject this labeling. Hence, we advice all oil companies staff and contractors to withdraw from Ijaw territories by the 30th December, 1998 pending the resolution of the issue of resource ownership and control in the Ijaw area of the Niger Delta.
5. Ijaw youths and people will promote the principle of peaceful co- existence between all Ijaw communities and with our immediate neighbours, despite the provocative and divisive actions of the Nigeria state, transnational oil companies and their contractors. We. offer a hand of friendship and comradeship to our neighbours: the Itsekiri, Ilaje, Urhobo, Isoko, Edo, Ibibio, Ogoni, Ekpeye, Ikwerre, etc. We affirm our commitment to joint struggle with the other ethnic nationalities in the Niger Delta area for self-determination.
6. We express our solidarity with all people’s organizations and ethnic nationalities in Nigeria and elsewhere who are struggling for self-determination and justice. In particular we note the struggle of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP), Egi Women’s Movement, etc.
7. We extend our hand of solidarity to the Nigerian oil workers (NUPENG and PENGASSAN) and expect that they will see this struggle for freedom as a struggle for humanity.
8. We reject the present transition to civil rule programme of the Abubakar regime, as it is not preceded by restructuring of the Nigerian federation. The way forward is a Sovereign National Conference of equally represented ethnic nationalities to discuss the nature of a democratic federation of Nigerian ethnic nationalities.
Conference noted the violence and killings that characterized the last local government elections in most parts of the Niger Delta.
Conference pointed out that these electoral conflicts are a manifestation of the undemocratic nature of the military transition programme. Conference affirmed therefore, that the military are incapable of enthroning true democracy in Nigeria.
9. We call on all Ijaws to remain true to their Ijawness and to work for the total liberation of our people. You have no other true home but that which is in Ijawland.
10. We agreed to remain within Nigeria but to demand and work for self government and resource control for the Ijaw people.

Conference approved that the best way for Nigeria is a federation of ethnic nationalities. The federation should be run on the basis of equality and social justice.

Finally, Ijaw Youths resolve to set up the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) to co-ordinate the struggle of Ijaw peoples for self-determination and
justice.

Signed for the entire participants:
Felix Tuodolo,
Ogoriba, Timi Kaiser-Wilhelm

Niger Delta Avengers Dares Nigerian Military, Direct Speeches to Sabotuers in a Press Statement

NIGER DELTA AVENGERS (PRESS RELEASE)

TOMPOLO BEFORE YOUR EYES YOUR PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING.

Our dear brother Tompolo, how is your friendship with the Nigerian Government. The people you took side with against us (the Niger Delta Avengers). We offered you the olive branch by beckoning you to join us in this struggle, but you refused

It is not our business what goes on in Gbaramatu Kingdom but our concern is the innocent children, women and aged people whom the Nigerian military has chased away from their homes now taking refuge in the forest. We warned you before hand that the Nigerian Government, can never be trusted.

To the Nigeria military, why are you looking for soft targets? If you are looking for the Avengers you know how to find us. Don’t deceive your President. Information gathered by the Intelligence unit of the Niger Delta Avengers revealed that Oil Marine Services (OMS) whose Chairman and CEO is Capt. Okunbor Idahosa also known, as Capt. Hosa is the company Nigerian Government awarded the Pipeline surveillance contract to spanning from Escravos to Lokoja. The said Capt. Hosa bribed the Brigade Commander Benin (Brig. Gen. Faruk Yahaya) alongside the Officer Commanding Army Gunboat, JTF (Major. M. B. Yahaya) with the sum of two hundred and fifty million naira (250,000,000) in collaboration with one Ayiri Emami to destroy Gbaramatu Kingdom in the guise of looking for the Niger Delta Avengers.

The question is, why the innocent people of Gbaramatu, why the innocent pregnant women, why unleash terror on the aged people of Gbaramatu, Capt. Hosa, Major Yahaya, Ayiri and Brid. Gen Faruk must you waste all these innocent blood just to secure the pipeline surveillance job? Why making the innocent people of Gbaramatu suffer? This act of the Nigerian Army to us is the greatest act of cowardice. This fight we believe is against the Avengers and not the innocent villagers of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Where is the International Community and the United Nations when all these unspeakable injustice, is served the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom by the very unprofessional Nigerian Military? Are they not aware of the raping of young girls, looting and destruction of properties by the Nigeria military in Gbaranmatu kingdom?

As for you Tompolo, what do you have to say about the horrible treatment meted your people by Nigerian Military, are you still going to call the Niger Delta Avengers criminals, are you still going to take side with the Nigeria Government against your people? What happened to you (Tompolo)? We respect the love you have for your people the Niger Delta. What is really happening to you when the likes of Mr Ayiri, Capt Hosa and Co are unleashing this kind of atrocities on your people, has the wealth you acquire made you soft that you don’t know what to do anymore?

The Nigerian Military cannot intimidate us by harassing innocent Niger Deltans. Gbaramatu is just one kingdom in Delta State. The Niger Delta is made up of seven States, it is therefore very funny to lure us to halt our well-planned line of actions that will shock the whole world by harassing innocent villagers.

To you Capt. Hosa the new pipeline protector; the intelligence unit of the Avengers has your full data, we know where all your assets are located and that most of your businesses are in the Niger Delta. For this single act of injustice against the innocent people of Gbaramatu you, your wife and entire family will suffer.

To Major M.B. Yahaya, we are sure you have not seen real combat before; how did you rose to the rank of a Major this is to show that Nigerian Military is finished if it to depend on people like you. You are only good at harassing innocent women and children in the name of looking for the Niger Delta Avengers. We are not surprised because all Nigerian Military are corrupt. Be assured that we are making this fight personal with you as we shall make your life a living hell. Can anyone tell the difference between Major MB Yahaya, Brig. Gen Faruk Yahaya and Boko Haram? We are asking because we cannot spot any difference.

Is the Nigeria military now a hired gun for the rich? The Amnesty International should take note of these officers who authorized the harassing of the innocent people of Gbaranmatu.

To the International Oil Companies and Indigenous Oil Companies, it’s going to be bloody this time around. Your facilities and personnel will bear the brunt of our fury, which shall fall upon you like a whirling wind.

Signed:
Brig.Gen Mudoch Agbinibo
Spokesperon.

Release Jonathan's Cousin to him or Charge him to Court, Nigerians tells EFCC

Release Jonathan's Cousin to him or charge to Court,Nigerians tells EFCC

Nigerians have call for the release of the nephew of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Azibaola Robert, the Managing Director of Kakatar Engineering limited following his continuous detention by anti-graft agency,  Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC. Operatives of EFCC arrested Azibaola along with his wife and executive director of projects of his firm after he honoured an invitation by the commission. According to reports, Azibaola was immediately taken to detention and has been held there for more than two weeks without formal charges. A Public Affairs commentator, Henry Omoregie condemned the arrest and detention of the entrepreneur by the anti-graft body, stressing that it is an unnecessary distraction from the glaring failure of governance. “I think it is an unnecessary distraction from the glaring failure of governance. Of course the soul that sinneth should not go unpunished but this case is clearly, as things stand, sheer impunity. If the security contract in question was actually carried out without hitches, why hold the contractor in detention,” he queried. “Why seek for details of execution when the contract was actually executed? I also understand that Mr Robert is ex-President Jonathan’s cousin. The selective justice we are witnessing has become too conspicuous for even the least informed to see. “First it was his CSO, detained, then released; then his ADC detained and released. In fact the latter has sued the FG for illegality. This has become a charade. The courts should hear people out no matter the cases involved. We are not in a military dictatorship where things are done arbitrarily. Selective justice is actually corruption,” he said. The spokesperson of the foremost Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, Eric Omare, stated that Azibola should be treated as a Nigerian who is entitled to fundamental human rights. He said: “Robert is a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The security agency that has kept him in incarceration is a creation of law and subject to the law and therefore ought to follow due process of law in carrying out their functions”. Other Nigerians have joined the conversation, using the hashtag #SelectiveJusticeIsInjustice to demand the immediate release of Mr. Azibola and his wife.

INEC partisanship reason for renewed electoral violence - Fayose

INEC partisanship reason for renewed electoral violence - Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has told the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu to first purge the electoral commission under him of partisanship and election manipulations before seeking the establishment of Electoral Offences Tribunal, saying; “INEC under the
present dispensation is the number one electora offender and that electoral reform without INEC neutrality is a mirage.”

He said any Electoral Offences Tribunal established under this present dispensation will only be used against opposition parties as the Department of States Services, Police, Armed forces and other agencies of the federal government were used during the Bayelsa and Rivers States elections.

Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka quoted the governor as saying that; “Even though establishment of Electoral Offences Tribunal is not entirely a bad idea, but INEC as presently constituted does not encourage free, fair and violence free election and it should worry Prof Yakubu that INEC
as at today, is being referred to as Inconclusive National Electoral Commission because of the commission’s partisanship.”

The governor, who described electoral violence as a product of electoral injustice, said even President Buhari himself admitted his failure to conduct any free, fair and credible election since he assumed office.

He said; “During the Rivers State rerun elections that INEC has been unable to conclude, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was missing on result sheets of over 230 polling units and up till now, all what INEC
has been able to tell Nigerians was that the criminal omission of PDP in the result sheets was due to printers error. Was that not enough to cause violence?”

While blaming President Buhari for eroding INEC independence, Governor Fayose said; “The day President Buhari interfered with the internal administration of INEC by appointing Madam Amina Zakari, a National
Commissioner, as Acting Chairperson of the commission, a title and position unknown to the Constitution, INEC under the Buhari’s APC government lost its independence and its credibility was eroded.

“The reality that INEC itself must therefore face is that members of President Buhari’s party, APC have become so emboldened to unleash violence on Nigerians during elections because they know that the president won’t lift a finger provided his party members are the ones
perpetrating evil.

“INEC must therefore seek to regain its lost independence and credibility before talking about punishing electoral offenders because as it is now, INEC is the number one electoral offender and promoter of electoral violence.”

Woman’s Buttocks Explodes During Rough S*x, Boyfriend Jailed

Woman’s Buttocks Explodes During Rough S*x, Boyfriend Jailed

19-year-old Sean Williams took the term “busting ass” quite seriously while having s*x with his older lover 26-year-old Tamela Martin.
Tamela was reported to have called 911 after Sean caused her buttocks to explode while they were having s*x doggy style.
The lady said that when they were having s*x, Williams started pounding her aggressively. She says she asked Williams to stop because something didn’t “feel right”.
She said,
“We was doing it and then he flipped me over and began to tear it up from the back. Asked him several times to be gentle, then I began to beg him to stop. That’s when he started going harder. I felt pressure building up in my booty and it felt like my booty was trippling in size, I felt the skin stretching. It was a pain I never experienced.”
Tamela was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital after a response came to her 911 call. She recently received butt injections to give her a larger butt and says she was well aware of the risks involved.
Williams is however being charged with assault as they claim he ignored her pleas to stop during sex and is therefore culpable.
Officer Doug Davis of DeKalb County Police Department said,
“Even though she knew the risks, Sean Williams was still arrested because he was asked to stop and he disregarded the victim’s request. This has got to be the strangest assault case I’ve encountered.”
Sean Williams has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault and one count of Aggravated Assault. Tamela Martin is still in the hospital and is expected to recover.
One of Sean’s Relatives released a statement to Radar saying,
“HE IS THE FIRST DUDE TO GO TO JAIL FOR BUSSIN A B*TCHES @SS, I MEAN HE LITERALLY BEAT THAT @SS FLAT HE MUST HAVE BEEN SLAM F*CKING HER, I HOPE THE JUDGE GOES EASY ON HIM”

PHOTO: Apple To Move To Its New Headquarters…It’s The Best Office Building In The World

Cupertino looks like many other small, drab cities in northern California, with serried houses and shopping centres. Later this year, however, it will become the only place to find Apple’s newest creation: the enormous ring which will serve as the technology firm’s headquarters (rendering pictured above). Several months before he died in 2011, Steve Jobs, Apple’s founder and the mastermind of the project, predicted that the spaceship-like structure would become “the best office building in the world” and that people from everywhere would travel to see it.
To prove Jobs right, around 13,000 construction workers have laboured for years behind thick, high walls. The site spans several city blocks. Earlier this year, everything was hidden from view except cranes and a huge sand pile that rose a few hundred feet high, like the Great Pyramid of Giza. The scale of the project rivals the ancient Egyptians’ monuments. Every piece of glass on the four-storey exterior is curved, requiring special panes to be made in Germany – the largest pieces of curved glass ever manufactured. With a price tag of around $5 billion, it may be the most expensive corporate headquarters in history.
Jobs’s last public appearance was at a meeting of Cupertino’s city council at which he requested approval for the project. The building, which is designed by Norman Foster, a British architect, is both an ostentatious expression of Apple’s wealth and an elegant shrine to Jobs’s vision. Huge swathes of green space will sit within and outside the circular building, recalling the lush orchards that blossomed in the area when Jobs was a child. Jonathan Ive, Apple’s chief designer, who helped craft the iPod and iPhone, has overseen the particulars with the painstaking rigour he applies to refining all the firm’s new gadgets.
“Silicon Valley is having its Versailles moment,” says Louise Mozingo, a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and the author of a fine book called “Pastoral Capitalism” about corporate headquarters. Last year Facebook opened a new, 430,000-square-foot building in Menlo Park designed to embody the company’s informal culture. Resembling a giant warehouse, it is reputedly the largest open-plan office in the world. Meanwhile, Google is working on a zany idea for a new headquarters to replace its Googleplex, which involves constructing movable glass buildings. Other technology companies, including Nvidia, Samsung and Uber, will, collectively, spend well over $1 billion on new buildings that broadcast their success. These ambitious projects will transform a bland architectural landscape of generic-looking office parks. But they also mark a cultural shift for the Valley, whose ethos is to value garages (in which firms like Hewlett-Packard and Apple were born) over glitz.
