Territorialism or Landlordism is the act of proven ownership by inhabitants of a territory or region covering from the sky, airspace to beneath the seas (water bodies or rivers) - the biosphere.
Territorialism is self security; physical, social, political, and economic defence borne out of self liberation vision.
I had earlier authored that Niger Delta Avengers and their allays are not Militants nor Terrorists. And the Nigerian Government and the World should seize viewing and treating them as though they are terrorists.
Niger Delta Avengers and their Avenging brothers are "Territorialists", an emerging Military (Defence Department) for the Federal Republic of Niger Delta, protecting and security its territory guarded by the "Joint Revolutionary Council (JRC)". The avengers are agitating for the unjust abuse of their Natural Resources and the unmerited detriments inflicted on the Niger Delta people and their region by the Nigerian State; without thoughts of repair nor rehabilitation.
This is meaningful enough and justifiable. It is called Territorialism and not Terrorism (insurgency).
Terrorism is a violent, destructive homicidal acts by a group(s) of virtual criminals aimed at intimidating and afflicting a population or government especially by illegal coercion to insignificant unjustifiable purposes.
Boko Haram terrorists criminals announced itself as Islamic Jihadists fighting and campaigning against the circulation and practice of Western (Formal) Education in Nigeria with the tag "SAY NO TO WESTERN EDUCATION". Later in 2015, they formed alliance with ISIS agitating for Islamic State in West Africa.
What is Boko Haram agitating for?
Is western education a Natural resource?
Is Islamic religion a natural resource?
Is the Northern region marginalized and damaged by crude oil exploration and exploitation like the Niger Delta?
NO, is the answer to all.
Boko Haram have indulged in massive homicides, killed thousands of Nigerians and Niger Deltans by attacking Churches and public places which has affected Niger Deltans residing in such places, unfortunately. They are holding thousands hostage and have rendered millions of Nigerians internally displaced.
Boko Haram have destroyed Nigeria's economy where they do not contribute a fiscal dime to build. Yet the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari defended the Boko Haram saying an unrest attack by the Nigerian Military against Boko Haram is a fight against the North (Northern Nigeria).
This is TERRORISM.
Fulani Herdsmen suddenly surfaced, invading villages and carrying out homicidal attacks on innocent citizens in the guise of agitating for grazing land. Yet, President Buhari has defended them as not being Nigerians, they are Lybians and pushing for a grazing reserve bill for the Fulanis (Terrorists).
Do Fulani Herdsmen own a grazing land as a Natural resource in any State?
Is the land own by other state theirs?
Are the Natural resources in the Niger Delta using their lands to exist and function?
Why do Fulani Herdsmen want to force out other people's property to themselves?
This is another Terrorism that is overlooked.
Obviously, the Nigerian Government is Nursing Terrorism (Fulani Herdsmen), can't fight and win Terrorism (Boko Haram) but eager to fight Territorialism. That's a fight against God, let free territorialists. This is a gross misappropriation of reasonability by the Nigerian Government.
Niger Delta Avengers and their Avenging brothers have not killed a fly since they began agitation for Resource Control, True Federalism or a Sovereign Niger Delta State (Niger Delta Republic).
Niger Delta has grown, it has decided to protect and secure its resources and territory, to form borders with other Nations like Nigeria, Biafra and Cameroon.
Perhaps, African Union, European Union, United Nations and the world aren't aware of the Niger Delta predicaments inflicted by the Nigerian State. I am in this same quest for the Niger Delta Freedom, via this medium calling on UN, UK, EU, and AU to intercede for a peaceful disintegration of Nigeria and Freedom for the Niger Delta People from the Jungle Nigeria (#Deltexit). I crave your indulgence that the Niger Delta Needs much attention, especially as an emerging Nation as much as Biafra do.
